When it comes to counselling there is one thing that I have seen time and time again and that is people who experience difficulties in their life due to the lack of boundaries.
Boundaries are an important part of self-care when we talking about self-care we talking about setting up protective factors to help reduce the impacts of the stress and strain we experience in our day-to-day life.
Boundaries are rules or parameters we establish for ourselves in all aspects of life to reduce the likelihood of lines being crossed that makes us uncomfortable.
When we don't have clear boundaries established we then are missing a key element to self-care as we open up the door for any behaviour or intension to flow into our life.
When we set up clear boundaries we then have rules against this unwanted behaviour and we set a clear intention for what it is we want and expect from ourselves and those around us.
If you require any support in the establishment of boundaries why not arrange an online appointment with Ipswich Counselling at www.ipswichcounselling.com.au.
